King Street Newcastle is committed to ensuring that all patrons, including those with mobility impairments or who use wheelchairs, have safe and dignified access to our venues.

ACCESSIBLE ENTRY

The primary accessible entry point is located at the corner of King and Steel Streets.

  • Patrons requiring accessibility support are asked to check in with staff at the front entry doors before proceeding to this accessible entry point.

  • Our staff are trained to provide assistance, answer questions, and ensure accessibility needs are accommodated.


ACCESSIBILE AREAS

From the accessible entry point, patrons have direct access to:

  • Street Level Bar

  • Street Level Dancefloor Area

  • The Band Room

  • The Band Room Bar

 


ACCESSIBLE LIFT

An accessibility lift is located adjacent to the Band Room stage.

  • This lift provides access to:
    • The Cocktail Bar area
    • An accessible toilet

 


STAFF ASSISTANCE

Staff will provide reasonable assistance for patrons with mobility requirements.

  • Where needed, security and floor staff will assist in navigating busy areas safely.

  • Patrons may request support at any time by speaking with the nearest staff member.


CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

The venue will review and, where practicable, improve accessibility features to ensure inclusion for all patrons.


FACILITIES & SAFETY

An accessible toilet is located on the Cocktail Bar level, reached via the platform lift.

  • In the event of an emergency, staff are trained in evacuation procedures that include supporting patrons with accessibility needs.
