SAFE SPACE

The designated safe space is located behind the cloak room in the main entry foyer. The space is in a private area, away from the public and covered by CCTV cameras.

If you feel unsafe anywhere inside or outside the venue, please alert staff and security as soon as you can. Our staff are trained in our procedures and to help you.

immediate steps

  1. Notify Venue Staff, either staff or security. They will take you to the designated Safe Space.

  2. Medical Help: Venue staff will recommend contacting NSW Ambulance, or to go with a trusted friend or family member to hospital immediately for observation and testing to take place.

  3. Report to Police: Venue staff will report to police and have incident reports and CCTV footage available to authorities.

  4. Stay with Trusted People: Venue staff will ensure that you leave (if medical help is refused) with a trusted friend or family member.

  5. Follow-up: Venue management will be in touch the following day to provide next steps.

If you feel unwell once you have left the venue

  1. Seek Medical Help: Go to a hospital emergency department immediately. Drugs can leave your system in 24 hours, so testing should be done as soon as possible.

  2. Report to Police: Contact police to report the incident.

  3. Stay with Trusted People: Ask someone you trust to get you to a safe place.

  4. Notify Venue Staff via message or email.
