EVENT:
Born in Newcastle, Steel City Dance Discs (SCDD) has become one of Australia’s most celebrated electronic music exports — a label and collective that grew from the underground club scene into an international movement. The label embodies the raw, DIY spirit of Newcastle’s industrial roots — energetic, unpolished, and deeply connected to the community that shaped it.
Now based in the UK, Steel City Dance Discs continues to champion cutting-edge club sounds across Breaks, Techno, Deep House, and Electronica, with an emphasis on authenticity and high-impact energy. The label’s events are known for their sold-out crowds, sweaty basements, and uncompromising lineups that blend established heavyweights with underground heroes.
In 2025, Steel City Dance Discs returns home, bringing one of their biggest international showcases back to where it all began — Newcastle. Headlining the show is Kettama, one of the label’s standout artists and a global force in modern club culture.
Irish DJ and producer Kettama has rapidly risen to the forefront of the global house and techno scene. Known for his high-energy sets, 90s-inspired rave sound, and releases like B O D Y and Raw Cuts Vol. 1, he’s become a festival and club mainstay across Europe, the UK, and beyond.
We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land where the Event will take place. This land belongs to the Awabakal and Worimi People. We acknowledge that this land was stolen and that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their elders – past, present and emerging.
